Lost Recipes Restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone who loves traditional, authentic flavors. I absolutely loved the food here! The taste truly reflects typical Banarasi and Jharkhand cuisine, which is hard to find these days.
The must-try dishes are Fara, Kathal ke Kabab, and Tamatar ki Chaat—each one was full of authentic, homemade-style flavors and perfectly cooked. You can really feel the effort put into preserving lost and traditional recipes.
If you enjoy regional Indian food and want something different from the usual restaurant menu, this place is a must visit. Highly recommended! ❤️

The restaurant has committed to bringing the flavors of Banaras to Pune. Dishes like the Meetha Golgappe, Farra, Kachori-sabzi, and Banarasi thalis are well-featured.

Small cafe like setup with very unique menu. We had aloo paratha, banarasi kachori chicken, fara fry, sohal special chole chat and rabdi lassi. Apart from from lassi everything was yum. We liked the food. Quality and quantity. There is road side parking for both four and two wheelers. It easily accessible. We visited during evening on the week day so there was not much rush. We easily got the table. Cost wise it's affordable. You get to eat some different food. They serve litti chokha thali as well.

I recently visited "The Lost Recipe" and ordered the Banarasi Kachori with Aloo Sabji and it was amazing. The kachori was light, less oily, and full of flavor. You could really taste the authenticity in that especially with the hint of kasuri methi. The crispiness was just perfect. The aloo sabji paired so well comforting and delicious.
I also tried their Lavanglata sweet, and honestly, it might be the best in town. Perfectly made, not overly sweet, and super satisfying.
If you're thinking about going — just go and try! Highly recommended.

Such a unique taste, something really different and a must try. There are many restaurants who serve North Indian food, but this one serving Jharkhand and Bihar style Food is really good and is very reasonable as well.
Fara, tomato chat, dahi wada, veg gaalouti - I have loved them all

Excellent food👌🏼! as close to authentic Banarasi as can be (in Pune). I tried the vegetarian traditional ones, and was expecting a mediocre experience, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was pretty good !
From Fara to Kachori/Sabji and the Lawanglata👌🏼to Gulabjamun (which reminded me of authentic “melt-in-your-mouth“ Pandeypur Gulabjamun of Banaras) - it was all very nice, not over spicy, simple, authentic - close to home cooked Banarasi.
I’ll visit again for sure, please enhance/clean/maintain the ambience well, and nurture the amazing taste !
